Remora House informally started in March 2024 as COVID-19 raged. We learned to sew handmade mask, and pooled hand sanitizer, soap, and wipes from comrades to distribute to unhoused camps around Washington D.C. We quickly grew, supplying tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, and other needed supplies.
