If it is cold and we're parked for a while, I cut a piece of reflectix a little larger than the outside vent and tape it down with some 2" blue painters tape. Cold air is entering the coach unimpeded through the exterior vent and out the front of the microwave and exhaust filters on the bottom. We do use the microwave but never use the oven because we have a separate Breville counter-top convection oven.
