A deponent is allowed to have their attorney present and the attorney from the opposing party is also invited. Often, several attorneys will ask the deponent questions. WebThis covers depositions as well as court proceedings, since a deposition is a judicial proceeding. In court it is incumbent upon the judge to require everyone to speak in English or provide interpreters so that the record may be captured in English. If a judge fails to follow through on this, the CSR should offer a gentle reminder.
